Radio Lutterworth Reclaims Domain – the return of WWW.RADIOLUTTERWORTH.CO.UK

Although Radio Lutterworth was last on air in September 2008 there has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes in advance of another proposed 28 day RSL broadcast in 2009.

This is currently planned to coincide again with Lutterworth’s Feast Week celebrations during August 2009.

 Unfortunately, in November last year, Radio Lutterworth was subject to a case of “Web Theft”.

The web site domains for the Radio Station were hi-jacked, stolen, and shut down which withheld content from the team meaning that supporters seeking to access information relating to Radio Lutterworth over the internet were unable to do so.

This type of crime is all too common in the current technological age, but the Radio Lutterworth team were able to implement a quick response, reconstituting the site on a new domain (radiolutterworth.webs.com) and paying for an advertisement that would enable visitors to find the new location via a web search within Google.

Not only had the web site content been shut off but the owner’s (Joe) contact details had also been changed to a third party address.

By working with the Domain registrar, station manager Joe Dodson was finally able to confirm legal ownership toward the end of February. This has since enabled the “webmaster” to sort out suitable hosting and see Radio Lutterworth go LIVE again on the internet.
